In a significant development, YSRCP leader and former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been arrested in connection with the attack on the Gannavaram TDP office. While Vamsi initially secured anticipatory bail in the case, a surprising turn occurred when the complainant, a Dalit youth, filed an affidavit stating that he had no connection to the incident. This led to a major twist in the case.
Subsequently, another complaint emerged, alleging that the complainant’s brother had been kidnapped and coerced into submitting a false affidavit. Based on this new complaint, an SC/ST case was registered against Vamsi. Vijayawada police arrested Vamsi from his Hyderabad residence.

Meanwhile, YSRCP alleged that the Chandrababu-led government orchestrated a conspiracy to target Vamsi. The party claimed that fabricated evidence, false testimonies, and illegal arrests were being used in the case. YSRCP also released a statement by Satyavardhan, dated February 10, asserting that he was not present at the scene during the incident. The statement further claimed that TDP leader Bachula Subrahmanyam had taken his signature as a witness in the case.
With these developments, all eyes are now on how TDP will respond to the allegations.
