Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday made a major political announcement, declaring that the Jana Sena Party will definitely contest the next Assembly elections in Telangana and that he would personally lead efforts to strengthen the party across the state.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan said Jana Sena would not only contest elections in Telangana but would also actively expand its organizational presence. He stated that he would personally tour the state, visit villages and towns, and take the party’s message directly to the people.
The Jana Sena chief asserted that the party would play an active role in Telangana politics in the coming years and remain committed to addressing public concerns.
Reacting sharply to comments by some leaders who reportedly questioned his visits to Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan said Telangana is an integral part of India and every citizen has the right to travel freely across the country. He maintained that no individual or group has the authority to prevent him from visiting the state.
He further pointed out that several leaders who had once strongly opposed the formation of Telangana are now occupying prominent positions in the state. In that context, he questioned why Jana Sena, which he said has deep respect and affection for Telangana, should not establish a political presence there.
Pawan Kalyan made it clear that the party would not be deterred by political criticism and reiterated that Jana Sena would maintain a long-term presence in Telangana. He called upon party workers to remain confident and intensify their efforts in highlighting and resolving public issues.
The announcement is being viewed as a significant political development and is expected to intensify political activity in Telangana ahead of the next electoral cycle.
