Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have registered a case against popular travel YouTuber Anvesh, known by his channel name Naa Anveshana, over alleged dissemination of false information related to betting app promotions.
According to police sources, Anvesh has released a series of videos from abroad accusing several public figures—including Telangana Director General of Police (DGP), Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director NVS Reddy, former Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and other senior IAS officers—of being involved in a betting app scam. He claimed that these individuals accepted bribes amounting to ₹300 crore, a charge authorities have termed baseless and defamatory.

The complaint, filed by a police constable, alleges that Anvesh has been engaging in a sustained misinformation campaign on social media. The Cyberabad Police acted upon the complaint and registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
In his videos, Anvesh also targeted film actors, television anchors, social media influencers, and former Bigg Boss contestants, accusing them of promoting illegal betting platforms in exchange for large sums of money.

The YouTuber is currently residing abroad and has been uploading content remotely. Officials stated that his videos contain serious allegations without substantiating evidence, which could mislead the public and damage reputations.
Police are now evaluating legal options, including possible cooperation with international agencies, to initiate further action against the content creator. Further investigation is underway.
