Amaravati: The coalition government, which came to power in Andhra Pradesh, will begin disbursing the increased pensions from July, fulfilling a key election promise. Starting July 1, pensioners will receive Rs 7,000, including the retroactive increase from April. Secretariat staff will personally deliver the Rs 7,000 to the pensioners’ homes.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will personally visit the homes of beneficiaries in Penumaka, Tadepalli mandal, on July 1 to distribute the pensions. This marks the first time in the country that a CM will go door-to-door to distribute pensions. During these visits, CM Chandrababu Naidu will not only provide the pension but also interact with the beneficiaries to understand their problems.
