Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged RTC (Road Transport Corporation) employees to reconsider their plans for a strike, encouraging them to prioritize the organization’s recovery as it shows signs of financial improvement.
Speaking at the May Day celebrations at Ravindra Bharathi, Revanth stated that RTC is beginning to move towards profitability, and emphasized that it is the workers’ responsibility to protect the organization. “This is your organisation, and it is your responsibility to ensure its well-being,” he said.
The Chief Minister criticized the previous administration for causing significant financial losses to RTC over the past decade and accused them of financial exploitation. He called on the workers not to engage in unnecessary confrontations and urged them to resolve issues through discussions with the concerned minister.

Revanth assured the employees that all revenue would be allocated for their benefit, stating, “We will place all the earnings in your hands. You will decide how it should be spent. Every paisa will be spent for your welfare. I will not take a single paisa home.”
Acknowledging the state’s current economic difficulties, he requested the workers to take the situation into consideration before making any hasty decisions. “It is my responsibility to tell you the truth, even when it is difficult,” he added.
The Chief Minister cautioned that a strike would only harm the state’s economic recovery. “In a year, things will improve,” he said, urging the workers not to be misled by those who failed to act over the past ten years.
Concluding his address, Revanth reassured the workers, saying, “Trust me, I will be there for those who place their trust in me.”
