Political strategist Prashant Kishor has announced plans to transform the Jan Suraaj campaign into a formal political party. The official transition is scheduled for October 2, with ongoing preparations for this significant shift.
In a recent statement, Kishor revealed that Jan Suraaj will contest all 243 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. He emphasized that the party will field at least 40 women candidates. Looking ahead to the 2030 elections, Kishor committed to including a minimum of 70 to 80 women candidates.
Kishor highlighted the need for women to achieve economic independence to attain true equality. He proposed that women should be able to secure loans at a 4% interest rate for their livelihoods and urged the government to provide guarantees for these loans. He assured that, under his leadership, Bihar residents would not need to migrate to other states for lower wages. Kishor urged voters to focus on the capabilities of their sons and daughters rather than their political connections when casting their ballots in the upcoming elections.
