In a move to ensure transparency in delivering services under the Indiramma housing scheme, Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy launched the Indiramma Housing Grievance Module on Thursday at the Secretariat. The minister highlighted that the module aims to address beneficiary complaints effectively through a streamlined digital process.
Addressing the media, Minister Ponguleti said, “Beneficiaries facing issues with the selection process can lodge their complaints through the official website indirammaindlu.telangana.gov.in. The status of these grievances and actions taken will be communicated to complainants via SMS. In rural areas, complaints will be forwarded to MPDOs, while in urban areas, they will be directed to municipal commissioners.”

The minister emphasized the government’s commitment to the Indiramma housing scheme, stating that the process is being conducted with complete transparency to eliminate middlemen. He assured that only eligible beneficiaries will receive houses and that steps are being taken to commence construction at the earliest.
Providing an update on the scrutiny of applications, he said that 95% of applications have been verified across 32 districts, excluding Hyderabad, while 88% of applications in the Greater Hyderabad limits have been completed. He instructed officials to complete the selection of beneficiaries at the earliest and focus on preparing a detailed action plan for house construction.

“Our government has prioritized the Indiramma housing scheme. In the first phase, houses will be allotted to those who already possess residential land. In the second phase, the government will provide both land and houses,” the minister explained.
Ponguleti further stated that priority will be given to differently-abled persons, single women, orphans, widows, transgenders, and sanitation workers in the first phase.
He also announced the scrapping of the contract system for house construction, which was followed by the previous government. “Beneficiaries will now have the freedom to construct their houses according to their needs, with a minimum size of 400 square feet. Every eligible beneficiary will receive a house under the scheme,” he assured.
Minister Ponguleti concluded by stating that the government is determined to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left behind and that necessary safeguards will be in place to prevent irregularities in the implementation of the scheme.
