Hyderabad: Hydra Commissioner Ranganath has responded to concerns regarding illegal constructions encroaching on lakes in the city. Hydra’s crackdown on such encroachments has received widespread support across the state. However, there have been questions about the organization’s impartiality and its approach to enforcement.
Recent allegations suggest that colleges owned by individuals such as Malla Reddy and Owaisi are located within buffer zones. In response, Commissioner Ranganath stated that Hydra applies the same rules to all parties, regardless of their political affiliations. He emphasized that Hydra’s goal is to prevent any disruption to students and noted that taking action in the midst of the academic year could negatively impact them.
Ranganath assured that Hydra would provide time for the removal of illegal constructions, but if these structures are not addressed by the concerned parties, Hydra will intervene.
