Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has declared plans to introduce a law modeled after the Hydra framework to address illegal encroachments in the state. Speaking during a review meeting with district collectors on Sunday regarding the recent rains and floods, the Chief Minister made significant remarks on the issue of encroachments.
He stated that once the law comes into effect, the removal of encroachments along the Budameru stream will be prioritized. Naidu stressed that the government will not remain passive while millions are affected by the illegal actions of a few. He noted that the encroachments are believed to be the primary cause of the recent flooding in the Budameru region.
