Amaravati: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister R.K. Roja criticized the authorities for allegedly hindering birthday celebrations of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. She accused officials of acting under the influence of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and implementing “new rules” to restrict party activities.
Speaking to a media outlet, Roja alleged that authorities were removing flex banners and prohibiting cake-cutting ceremonies, claiming such restrictions were unprecedented. “During our tenure, we never created obstacles for leaders of other parties. This excessive enthusiasm by officials is unwarranted,” she remarked.

Roja further stated that the current coalition government appeared intimidated by Jagan’s popularity, asserting that his tenure was marked by governance focused on fulfilling promises and public welfare. She accused the coalition government of harassing YSRCP leaders, instilling fear among citizens, and damaging party properties over the past six months.
Expressing confidence in her party’s return to power, Roja issued a warning to the coalition government. “We will respond to these actions with a return gift, with interest, once we regain power,” she declared.
