BJP Announces Rajya Sabha Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Haryana

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially announced its Rajya Sabha candidates from three states, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Haryana. In Andhra Pradesh, the party has fielded R. Krishnayya as the candidate. Sujit Kumar will represent Odisha, while Rekha Sharma will contest from Haryana.

R. Krishnayya previously secured a Rajya Sabha seat as a member of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) but later resigned following the Assembly elections. The BJP’s decision to nominate him marks a significant political development in the state.

The nomination deadline for the Rajya Sabha by-elections is set to end tomorrow (Tuesday). In preparation, the coalition government is expected to submit nominations for three leaders on the same day. From the BJP, R. Krishnayya and Beda Mastan Rao are preparing to file their nominations.

Meanwhile, suspense continues over the coalition’s choice for a third candidate. Names such as Sana Satish and others are currently under review, with coalition parties working to finalize a consensus candidate.
