Mahabubnagar: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated in the Brahmotsavams at Sri Kurumurthi Swami Temple in Ammapur, Mahabubnagar district, and laid the foundation for a Rs 110 crore project to develop a ghat road and elevated corridor to ease access for devotees. Welcomed by temple priests and officials, CM Revanth addressed the gathering and shared plans for both the temple’s and the district’s development.
The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of Kurumurthi Swami Temple as a pilgrimage site, stating, “Kurumurthi Swami Temple has become known as the ‘Tirupati for the Poor,’ attracting devotees from Telangana and Karnataka. To address their needs, we are starting a Rs 110 crore project for a new ghat road and elevated corridor.”
He instructed officials to prepare a development plan for the temple, emphasizing that Palamuru’s history of migration stems from long-standing neglect by past leaders. Revanth said, “Even a decade after Telangana’s formation, migration remains an issue due to incomplete projects. We are working to complete the Narayanpet Kodangal project soon, ensuring Krishna waters flow to Makthal, Nagar Kurnool, and Kodangal regions. Let those who disagree with me confront me politically, but the people of Palamuru will not forgive any attempt to delay progress.”
Revanth also outlined employment initiatives, announcing that Amar Raja Batteries will provide training and jobs for 2,000 local youth, and pledged to ensure future companies in the district prioritize local employment. “I am directing collectors to construct BT roads in every village and hamlet and advance education, healthcare, and job opportunities,” he added.
In closing, Revanth stated, “Any efforts to hinder Palamuru’s growth will face the resolute spirit of its people. I remain committed to the progress of this district, wherever I may be.”
