The Telangana government has intensified its focus on the BC Caste Census, with officials set to submit the final survey report to the Cabinet Sub-Committee on February 2. In the legislative assembly, the government is expected to pass a resolution urging the Centre to increase BC reservations.

The caste census survey, which has been completed, is expected to be reviewed by the state Cabinet on February 5. Following that, a special assembly session will be held from February 7 to approve the caste census.
Additionally, the Cabinet is likely to discuss BC reservations in Panchayat elections during the upcoming meeting. There are reports that the government plans to approve 42% reservations for BCs, followed by conducting Panchayat elections.
