Hyderabad: A security scare erupted near the residence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy when a suspicious bag was discovered. Police responded swiftly and have since confirmed that the bag contained a dummy bomb used for film shoots, not a live explosive device.
Initial reports indicated that three individuals were taken into custody for questioning. The bag’s origin was traced back to Tillu, a fish vendor from Shrikrishnanagar, based on information provided by an auto driver. Tillu had reportedly discarded the bag near the Chief Minister’s residence after discovering the suspicious object inside.
Investigations revealed that Tillu, while traveling past the Jubilee Hills check-post on a motorcycle, noticed the dummy bomb-like object among some papers in his pocket. Believing it to be real, he abandoned the bag by the roadside and left the scene.
The auto driver who observed Tillu’s actions alerted the authorities, leading to a prompt police response. Using CCTV footage, police identified the vehicle involved and have since apprehended Tillu and his friend for further interrogation. The police continue to investigate how the bag ended up at the location and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
