The situation in Bangladesh has deteriorated significantly, with widespread riots and a violent mob attack on the Prime Minister’s residence. Facing severe security concerns and under mounting pressure, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned from her position and left the country.
Sheikh Hasina’s son, Sajeeb, confirmed that his mother had been contemplating resignation for some time. “My mother, who served as Prime Minister for 15 years, has faced numerous challenges, but she no longer has the patience to continue,” Sajeeb stated. He noted that the recent events have left her deeply disheartened, indicating that she is unlikely to return to politics.
Currently in India, Sheikh Hasina is set to travel to London for further safety and security.
