Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy arrived in Mumbai this morning and attended a meeting at the Maharashtra PCC office with Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, AICC National Media Committee Chairman Pawan Khera, DCC President Rohin Reddy, and other party leaders.

Reddy will remain in Mumbai until the evening and addressed the media regarding the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections on November 20. During his address, Revanth Reddy accused BJP leaders in Maharashtra of spreading false propaganda about the Congress government in Telangana. He also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for propagating lies about the implementation of the Congress guarantees in Telangana, issuing a warning to the Prime Minister to stop the falsehoods.

Revanth Reddy emphasized that his visit was to inform the people of Maharashtra about the truth regarding the implementation of six guarantees for farmers and citizens in Telangana. He highlighted the alarming farmer suicide rates in Maharashtra and criticized both the central and state governments for neglecting farmer welfare. He accused Modi of favoring corporate interests like Adani and Ambani by enacting unfavorable laws.

Revanth Reddy also pointed to Telangana’s successful loan waiver initiative, stating that within 25 days, the state government had waived Rs 17,869 crore for 22,22,067 farmers, fulfilling their promise of waiving RS 2 lakh loans. He also clarified that any further details could be provided to those seeking them.

Addressing the criticism by Modi regarding Telangana’s farmer welfare schemes, Revanth Reddy reminded the media of Modi’s deleted tweet after the Congress government responded with evidence. He further outlined the achievements of the Telangana government in the first 10 months, including the filling of 50,000 government jobs, the provision of  Rs 500 gas connections under the Mahalakshmi scheme, and the distribution of free electricity to nearly 50 lakh households.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the Rs 500 support price for farmers, and the free bus travel scheme benefiting over 1 crore women. He confirmed the allocation of Rs 3541 crore to the RTC for this initiative. In addition, he discussed the Telangana government’s efforts for social justice through caste enumeration and its demand to include it in the 2025 national census.

Revanth Reddy praised Maharashtra’s historical significance, citing figures such as Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Savitribai Phule, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who helped shape India’s progress. He warned that Maharashtra, with its illustrious legacy, should not fall into the wrong hands.

The CM also criticized Prime Minister Modi for redirecting 17 major projects meant for Maharashtra to Gujarat, urging the people of Maharashtra to defeat the BJP in the upcoming elections, as the party has betrayed them.
