In a notable development, Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has announced that the Congress government will soon begin issuing ration cards to eligible individuals. The issuance of ration cards and health cards will be handled as separate processes. This initiative fulfills a key promise made by the Congress party during the election campaign, addressing the needs of over 10 lakh residents in the state who are currently awaiting their ration cards.
Additionally, the Revanth government recently launched a farm loan waiver program as part of its broader welfare efforts. Since taking office, the Congress administration has been actively processing applications for several welfare schemes, including Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Griha Jyothi, Indiramma Houses, and Cheyutha. However, there have been concerns about the integration of ration cards with these schemes, leading to allegations that some individuals are missing out on benefits. In response, the Congress government is prioritizing the rapid issuance of ration cards to ensure that all eligible citizens can receive the full benefits of the welfare programs.
