Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure that the Indiramma Housing Scheme prioritizes the most underprivileged sections of society. Speaking at a review meeting held at his residence on Friday evening, the CM highlighted the importance of giving preference to persons with disabilities, agricultural laborers, landless individuals, and sanitation workers during the allotment process.
In the first phase, the scheme will focus on applicants with their own land. Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for meticulous planning, directing officials to involve village secretaries and mandal-level officers to ensure accountability and the adoption of advanced technology for seamless execution.
Special Quota for Tribal Regions
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to address any issues in the Indiramma Housing mobile app to avoid inconveniences for beneficiaries. He also called for the creation of a special quota for housing projects in tribal and ITDA (Integrated Tribal Development Agency) areas.
Further, Revanth Reddy proposed giving beneficiaries the option to build additional rooms in their houses, enhancing the scheme’s flexibility. To ensure the effective implementation of the project, he stressed the need to strengthen the Housing Department by appointing the required staff and officers.

Key Officials Attend the Review
The review meeting was attended by State Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, CM Advisor Vem Narendra Reddy, Principal Secretary to the CM Chandrasekhar Reddy, Housing Department Secretary Dr. Jyothi Buddhiprakash, and Special Secretary V.P. Gautham, among others.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring a transparent and efficient implementation of the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
