HYDERABAD: Janasena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Friday said the sacrifices and struggles of Telangana’s youth were the main reasons behind the achievement of statehood, adding that even twelve years after the state’s formation, many desires and aspirations remain unfulfilled. He asserted that Janasena would deliver what the youth of Telangana have hoped for.
Kalyan launched the “Janasena Graduate Express,” a campaign vehicle to be used in the Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal Graduates’ constituency MLC election. Addressing the gathering, he urged graduates to elect the party’s candidate, Dr. Gadala Srinivasa Rao.
Saying he had always stood on the side of the people, Kalyan stated that for the first time he was folding his hands and appealing to the people of Telangana to give Janasena a chance. He pointed out that the party was founded in Telangana itself. The Graduates’ MLC seat, he said, would give the party its first opportunity to serve the state, and he asked voters to back Dr. Srinivasa Rao.
Kalyan said the candidate would reach out to people through the campaign vehicle, speaking for the future of the new generation and their political aspirations.
120-day outreach
The vehicle will travel across the constituency for 120 days. Kalyan called on every graduate to recognise the importance of the campaign for Telangana. He urged them to sit in the specially arranged “graduate’s chair” on the vehicle, share their problems and ideas, voice their aspirations, and extend their support.
Recalling his time in Adilabad district, where he once got a borewell dug without even Rs 1 lakh in hand, Kalyan said the aspiration that arose that day has now grown to the point where Andhra Pradesh is implementing the Jal Jeevan Dhara scheme worth Rs 30,000 crore.
