Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kavitha, the daughter of former Chief Minister KCR, participated in the caste enumeration survey initiated by the Telangana government under the leadership of Revanth Reddy. On the 15th of this month, caste enumeration officials visited Kavitha’s residence in Banjara Hills, where she and her husband provided their family details and took part in the survey.
Congress leaders have circulated photos of Kavitha’s participation, highlighting her support for the caste enumeration process. They have posted on social media that Kavitha’s involvement signifies her backing of the Telangana government’s initiative. BRS leaders, including KTR and Harish Rao, have also suggested that party workers follow Kavitha’s example.
The photos shared by Congress leaders have sparked discussions, with many noting that Kavitha has long been an advocate for reservations based on population estimates. It is being recalled that she had previously organized several meetings and round-table discussions in support of this cause.
Reports indicate that Kavitha provided all the required details to the enumerators during the caste enumeration process, in accordance with the recent government decision. Additionally, Kavitha is said to have demanded the implementation of the promises made by the Congress party, including the Kamareddy Declaration. Her supporters on social media are posting that Kavitha has called for the fulfillment of the Congress’s commitment to implementing a 42% reservation for BCs.
