Telangana Women’s Commission Chairperson Nirella Sharada has instructed the panel secretary to issue notices to six commission members for their misconduct. Sharada expressed strong disapproval of the members’ actions, which included tying rakhis to former Minister KTR during his appearance at the commission office and secretly recording the event with mobile phones, despite a ban on such devices.
Sharada criticized these actions as damaging to the commission’s credibility and announced that disciplinary measures will be taken against the members following a review. After his appearance, KTR expressed regret for his previous comments and accused Congress leaders of politicizing the situation and targeting BRS women leaders. He affirmed his commitment to respecting women and highlighted the issues he had raised with the commission, including attacks on women and hostel problems.
