The BRS party is facing another significant setback in the combined Mahabubnagar district. Despite recent successes in Alampur and Gadwal, the political landscape is shifting. Gadwal MLA has already left BRS for Congress. Now, Alampur MLA Vijayudu and MLC Venkatrami Reddy are also preparing to leave the party.
In the last elections, BRS had initially allocated the Alampur ticket to sitting MLA Abraham. However, MLC Venkatrami Reddy intervened, resulting in the ticket being given to his follower Vijaya at the last minute. Venkatrami Reddy played a crucial role in ensuring Vijaya’s victory amidst a rising Congress influence. It now seems that Venkatrami Reddy has decided to say goodbye to BRS.
Along with him, MLA Vijayudu is also likely to join Congress. MLC Venkatrami Reddy has already met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in this regard. Revanth Reddy is set to visit his home district Mahabubnagar tomorrow, which could signal a significant political shift. With the induction of Vijayudu, the number of BRS MLAs in the combined district will drop to zero.
