Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud on Friday stated that the long-pending expansion of the state cabinet and reconstitution of the PCC executive committee are expected to be completed within this month.
Speaking to the media alongside AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, Goud described her appointment as a welcome move, calling her a “blemish-free leader” whose guidance would be crucial for strengthening the party in the state. He underscored that a united and efficient party is key to retaining power.
Goud urged party leaders to focus on grassroots mobilisation and rebuilding the organisation from the village and booth levels. He stressed the need to take government welfare schemes to the people, citing initiatives such as free bus travel and subsidised rice as examples of the administration’s commitment to welfare.

The TPCC chief acknowledged that some party workers were demoralised and emphasised the responsibility of leaders to engage and energise the cadre. He said the Congress government was prioritising employment, education, and healthcare but was not receiving adequate recognition for its efforts.
Highlighting the party’s achievements, Goud noted that the Congress had scientifically conducted a caste census and provided 42% reservations for backward classes. He admitted to minor internal issues within the party but called for unity and collective effort to resolve them.
