Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan recently shared a note on social media outlining key concerns and reforms related to cinema hall management. Responding to this, leading Telugu film producer Dil Raju has expressed his full support and appreciation for the initiative.
In an official statement, Dil Raju said he strongly agrees with Pawan Kalyan’s emphasis on bringing the average moviegoer back to theatres. He praised the Deputy CM’s suggestion to make food and beverage prices in cinema halls more affordable and called it a commendable step toward audience welfare.

Dil Raju urged the film industry to unite in welcoming these ideas and move forward collectively. He noted the growing preference for OTT platforms due to the early release of films online and stressed the need for a joint decision on the minimum theatrical window before a film transitions to digital platforms.
He also stated that it is the collective responsibility of the film industry to preserve the theatrical viewing experience for audiences. Highlighting the importance of structured engagement with the government, he recommended that all industry communication be routed through the Film Chamber rather than individual approaches, which he believes would provide a more permanent and professional direction.
Appreciating Pawan Kalyan for taking the first step, Dil Raju extended special thanks to him for initiating a much-needed discussion.
Addressing piracy as another key challenge, Dil Raju stressed that a united fight against piracy is crucial to regaining theatre audiences. He concluded by stating that the Producers Council is committed to working collectively, not only with the Andhra Pradesh government but also by engaging in consultations with the Telangana government, to support the overall growth of Telugu cinema.
