New Delhi: In his first address to the nation following Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a firm warning to Pakistan, accusing it of nurturing terrorism against India and declaring that any future attacks will be met with similar forceful responses.

The Prime Minister stated that Operation Sindoor was India’s answer to the Pahalgam terror attack and underlined that it was a reflection of the country’s collective resolve. “Pakistan has long been promoting terrorism against India. With Operation Sindoor, we have responded in a new way. If terrorists strike again, India will respond in the same decisive manner,” Modi said.

He paid tribute to the Indian armed forces, saying, “I salute our security personnel. The Pahalgam incident was brutal—innocents were shot dead in front of their families. This was an attack on our social harmony. Our response was not just military; it was emotional. Operation Sindoor is a symbol of our nation’s courage.”

The Prime Minister revealed that India gave full operational freedom to its forces, who targeted terror camps and infrastructure across the Line of Control. “We struck deep into Pakistan. Over 100 terrorists were neutralised. Our forces inflicted significant damage on airbases. Pakistan’s missile threats were neutralised by our defence systems,” he added.

Modi claimed that senior Pakistan Army officers were visibly affected by the losses suffered during the operation. “Reports indicate that Pakistani officers wept over the bodies of slain terrorists. This clearly shows who is backing terrorism,” he said. He also highlighted that terror hubs like Bahawalpur and Muridke have operated as long-standing global terror launchpads.

Prime Minister made it clear that India’s future actions would depend entirely on Pakistan’s conduct. “This is not an era of war—or of terrorists. India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail. Any future talks with Pakistan will be strictly limited to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” he said.

Marking the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Modi said India believes in peace but will not allow terror to flourish. “Terrorism and trade cannot go hand in hand. Pakistan must dismantle its state-supported terrorism or face severe consequences,” he warned.

“This is a warning, not just a statement. If Pakistan continues to back terrorism, it will have to face the consequences. Our unity is our strength, and that unity will lead us forward,” the Prime Minister concluded.
