Two RTC Buses Collide Near Tirupati, 20 Passengers Injured

Tirupati: A major road accident occurred in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati district on Tuesday. Two RTC buses collided near the Kalyani Dam in Chandragiri mandal’s Rangampeta area. The accident took place at a sharp curve near the dam when an RTC bus traveling from Tirupati to Piler collided with another RTC bus coming from Madanapalle to Tirupati.

The collision left nearly 20 passengers injured, with one of the drivers suffering severe injuries. The injured were rushed to Tirupati’s Ruia Hospital for treatment using 108 ambulances arranged by the police.

The accident caused a massive traffic jam at the site, causing inconvenience to commuters. Police reached the spot, carried out rescue operations, and cleared the traffic congestion.

The Chandragiri police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.
