Former Chief Minister Jagan is set to visit Tirumala today, with plans to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara tomorrow. However, it appears that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials are preparing to give Jagan a surprise by demanding a declaration from him as a non-Hindu before allowing him entry into the temple.

TTD officials are ready to provide the declaration form to Jagan at the guesthouse itself. Reports suggest that TTD has decided to grant him permission for darshan only if he signs the declaration. If Jagan refuses to sign, officials stated that they would proceed according to the law, and he would not be permitted to have darshan. They clarified that all non-Hindu visitors must sign the declaration at the 17th compartment, and for VIPs, the signing process is conducted at the guesthouse.

According to TTD regulations, non-Hindus wishing to visit Lord Venkateswara must submit an affidavit. Following the Endowments Department Act 30/1987, a government order (GO) was issued in 1990, stipulating that non-Hindus must sign a declaration form before entering the temple. The declaration requires the individual to acknowledge their non-Hindu faith while expressing their devotion and respect for Lord Venkateswara, requesting permission for darshan with a signed statement.
