Tirupati: A major fire broke out at CMR Aluminium Factory near Chintalapalem Tollgate in Yerpedu mandal, Tirupati district. The blaze was triggered after two boilers exploded inside the factory, resulting in injuries to five workers. Firefighters rushed to the scene and are working to contain the flames, which have destroyed over half of the industrial facility. Workers evacuated the premises amid the intense fire, and vehicles traveling on the nearby Yerpedu-Venkatagiri highway assisted in rescue operations.

In a separate incident, two youths lost their lives in a road accident on the Garuda Varadhi flyover. The victims fell from an approximate height of 50 feet while riding a motorcycle, causing significant traffic congestion in the area with vehicles backed up for nearly a kilometre.

The East Police reached both accident sites, registered cases, and initiated investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incidents. Authorities have urged commuters and industrial workers to exercise caution while traveling and near industrial zones until the situations are fully resolved.
