Concerns are mounting over the disappearance of three Indian nationals in Iran, with emerging reports suggesting a possible link to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Intelligence sources caution that ISI may attempt to portray the missing individuals as Indian spies.
According to preliminary investigations, the three men were allegedly misled by a travel agent in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, who promised to facilitate their migration to Australia via Iran. However, shortly after arriving in Tehran on May 1, the individuals went missing. The agent who arranged their travel is currently absconding.
