Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced the commencement of Rythu Bharosa financial assistance transfers to farmers from Monday, June 17. The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Under the scheme, the Congress government is providing Rs 12,000 annually to each farmer in two installments—Rs 6,000 each for the Rabi and Kharif seasons—regardless of landholding size. The funds will be deposited in a phased manner between June 17 and June 25. Farmers, already engaged in Kharif crop preparations, welcomed the move with optimism.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also held discussions on upcoming local body elections. He instructed ministers to coordinate with district leaders and in-charge ministers to ensure effective planning. CM Revanth emphasized the need to widely promote the government’s welfare initiatives. The election schedule is expected to be released later this month, with polling likely to be conducted in July.
