Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Prasad Kumar has announced appointments for three key committees. Arikapudi Gandhi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Padmavathi Reddy as the Chairperson of the Estimation Committee, and Shankarayya as the Chairman of the Public Undertakings Committee. The Assembly Secretary, Narasimhacharyulu, released a bulletin confirming these appointments.
While it is customary for opposition party members to be given the PAC Chairman position, BRS MLA Harish Rao expressed discontent over the appointment of Arikapudi Gandhi, who recently joined the Congress party. Harish Rao questioned the decision, given Gandhi’s recent party switch.
