Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced that Intermediate examinations will commence on March 5 and continue until March 25. This comes as Andhra Pradesh’s Intermediate exams, which began on March 1, are already underway.
The board has introduced new guidelines, including the closure of exam center gates 15 minutes before the exam starts. However, officials have confirmed that the rule will be flexibly enforced, allowing a five-minute grace period for latecomers. Previously, students arriving even a minute late were barred from entry.
Security measures have been strengthened with the implementation of the BNS 163 system at exam centers and the installation of three CCTV cameras at each venue.
A total of 1,532 examination centers have been set up across the state, with 9,96,541 students registered to appear. This includes 4,88,316 First Year students and 5,08,225 Second Year students.
