The Telangana government is taking significant steps to boost the state’s tourism sector by showcasing its cultural, heritage, and historical landmarks to domestic and international visitors. Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, speaking at the Travernia Fest held at HICC in Madhapur, highlighted the government’s plans to develop the tourism sector and attract global attention.
Inaugurating the event, Minister Jupally stated that a detailed action plan is in progress, with a committee to be formed soon to implement various tourism initiatives. He emphasized that the Travernia Fest serves as a platform to highlight global tourism, historical sites, diverse cultures, traditional practices, and cuisines, aiming to educate and inspire travel enthusiasts.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government has prioritized tourism development. We are introducing initiatives to ensure visitors attending national and international conferences or events in Telangana also explore our state’s rich tourist destinations. Our efforts aim to maximize every opportunity to promote Telangana’s tourism potential and encourage visitors to become ambassadors of our state,” he said.
The event witnessed participation from UN Tourism Ambassador Carl Joshua, historian Dr. Sinharaja Tammita, Travernia Fest founder Dr. Anthony Vipin Das, and representatives from the travel and transport industries.
