The Telangana government has resumed the Indiramma Houses scheme, which was temporarily halted due to the MLC Elections 2025. Minister Ponguleti announced that the distribution of 3,500 houses per constituency will begin within a week. Eligible beneficiaries will be selected, and construction will commence accordingly.
The minister assured that individuals whose names are not on the initial list need not be concerned, as all applications will undergo thorough review before the final distribution. He emphasized that the Indiramma Houses scheme is an ongoing initiative, and those not included in the current phase will be considered in subsequent rounds.

Re-Verification Process Initiated
As part of the selection process, authorities have launched a re-verification drive in villages. On January 26, the scheme was rolled out in 562 panchayats, with one village per mandal chosen for implementation. In the first phase, 72,045 beneficiaries were approved for housing.
The current focus is on identifying eligible beneficiaries in villages that were not covered in the initial list. Applications have been categorized into three groups:
– L-1: Applicants with their own land.
– L-2: Those without land or a house.
– L-3: Others.
At present, the re-verification process is being conducted for the L-1 category, which includes 21.93 lakh applicants.
