Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that the state government is actively working on the rejuvenation of the Musi River and the development of Future City, a project aimed at generating employment for lakhs of people. Speaking at the Ugadi celebrations held at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister outlined key developmental initiatives.
He emphasized the government’s commitment to public welfare and economic growth, stating, “We are striving to bring global recognition to Hyderabad. The budget presented by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka is well-balanced, focusing on increasing state revenue and ensuring its equitable distribution. A significant portion of the budget has been allocated to education, healthcare, and infrastructure. For sustained investments, maintaining law and order remains a priority. Telangana will be developed as a model state for the nation.”

Highlighting the Future City project, Revanth Reddy stated that it would not only serve as a residential hub but also as a major investment destination designed to provide large-scale employment opportunities. “Development comes with challenges, and no policy receives unanimous approval. Just as the affluent consume fine rice, the underprivileged also deserve the same. In 2024, Telangana achieved a paddy production of 1.56 lakh metric tonnes, the highest in the country. Even during the undivided Andhra Pradesh era, such production levels were never recorded. To further encourage fine rice cultivation, the government is offering bonuses,” he added.
