TG News: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth has announced significant employment initiatives for women, aligning with his election promise to empower one crore women and transform them into “Koteeshwarulu.” As part of this drive, a petrol bunk was inaugurated on Friday in Appak Palli, Narayanapet district, under the aegis of a women’s association. Operated entirely by women in collaboration with BPCL, this facility marks the first-ever petrol bunk in the country managed by a women’s cooperative. The Chief Minister expressed his delight at the milestone, emphasizing that his government places women at the forefront of its priorities, while also hinting at plans for establishing thousand-megawatt solar plants.

“Our government firmly believes that women will live with dignity. Following the formation of the Janata government, we revived women’s self-help groups. Establishing this petrol bunk is a first for our state, and empowering one crore women in Telangana is our government’s goal,” the Chief Minister said. He added that the government is promoting women across all sectors by, for instance, making them the owners of 600 RTC buses and creating opportunities through large-scale solar projects. “We have set up stalls at Silparamam to market products from women’s self-help groups, and soon we will gift these groups two sarees annually—just as we provide quality sarees to our own daughters,” he noted.

Revanth stressed that there is no distinction between rural and urban women in Telangana. “If necessary, we will secure additional funds from the Centre,” he asserted. He also urged MP DK Arun to assist in procuring central funds for furthering women’s development. “The state government is ready to provide any support needed for the advancement of women. We will allocate funds for schools, management will be your responsibility. Just as we maintain our temples with utmost sanctity, we expect our institutions to be managed with the same care,” he concluded.
