Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered a CBI-CID investigation into illegal mining activities across the state. The probe will cover all companies involved, including Raghav Constructions, linked to former minister Ponguleti, and aims to uncover the extent of unauthorized mining operations.

BRS MLA Harish Rao pointed out that crushers operated by Raghav Constructions were functioning without permits. He questioned why proper inquiries were not conducted when Ponguleti held ministerial office and demanded that Ponguleti resign to facilitate a thorough investigation.

CM Revanth Reddy directly criticized key leaders of the previous government, announcing investigations into the mining businesses of Gangula Kamalakar and Vaddiraju Ravichandra. He also confirmed that illegal sand mining activities in the Sircilla region would be scrutinized, alleging that former leaders KTR and Harish Rao had played a central role in orchestrating unauthorized mining.

The Chief Minister stated that all mining leases issued since June 2 of last year would be reviewed, with the findings presented in the upcoming Assembly session. He asserted that the government would not be intimidated by threats or blackmail from BRS leaders and vowed that the investigation would expose the truth and hold those responsible accountable.
