Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Urges Vigilance Amid Heavy Rains

Hyderabad: In light of the heavy rains, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has called for both the public and government officials to remain alert. He has directed the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police to initiate immediate relief measures. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for all government departments to be vigilant across the state due to the ongoing heavy rainfall.

The Chief Minister spoke with Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari and advised that revenue, municipal, electricity, and health department officials should be proactive given the widespread rainfall. He instructed that immediate relief camps be set up for residents in low-lying areas and emphasized the importance of preventing any undesirable incidents.

Additionally, he highlighted the need to alert residents in lower areas as reservoir gates are being opened. Following the Chief Minister’s orders, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari and DGP Jitender conducted a teleconference with district collectors, Superintendents of Police, police commissioners, and municipal commissioners. They were directed to review field-level conditions regularly and take appropriate actions as necessary.
