Hyderabad: In a significant meeting chaired by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the state cabinet approved the establishment of three new agricultural colleges affiliated with Jayashankar Agricultural University. These colleges are planned to be set up in Nalgonda, Nizamabad, and Vikarabad districts. The cabinet also discussed key legislative matters, including the BC Reservation Bill and the welfare legislation for gig workers.
To mark the successful completion of two years in office, the cabinet decided to organize “Public Governance – Public Victory” celebrations from December 1 to 9. Following the dismissal of the Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court regarding the 42% reservation for BCs, the cabinet deliberated on the next steps. CM Revanth directed officials to move forward based on inputs from senior legal experts and submit a report within two days.
The cabinet approved the Srisailam elevated corridor project, with a decision that the state government will bear 50% of the project cost. The corridor is expected to improve regional connectivity and infrastructure significantly, benefiting both commuters and local development initiatives.
Additionally, the cabinet sanctioned the proposed Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road project, covering 5,566 km at an estimated cost of Rs 10,547 crore. These decisions reflect the government’s focus on strengthening education, infrastructure, and welfare programs, underscoring its commitment to comprehensive development across Telangana.
