In response to a call from the Congress leadership, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy staged a protest in front of the ED office. During the protest, CM Revanth stated that Prime Minister Modi fled without answering questions in Parliament regarding the Adani scam. He mentioned that the total debt accumulated by all Prime Ministers from independence until 2014 was Rs. 55,000 crores, while in the past eleven years, PM Modi has accrued a debt of Rs. 1.15 lakh crores. Revanth highlighted that Modi’s borrowing is double that of the 16 previous Prime Ministers combined.
Revanth Reddy further praised historical Congress leaders, stating that the credit for bringing irrigation projects to the country goes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He credited Indira Gandhi with making banks accessible to the poor through nationalization and distributing land to the underprivileged through bold decisions. He also acknowledged Rajiv Gandhi’s role in initiating the technological revolution and introducing women’s reservation in local bodies.
Criticizing Modi and Amit Shah, Revanth likened their governance to a “Hum Do, Hamare Do” scenario, suggesting that their style is aimed at looting the world. He demanded the immediate resignation of the SEBI chairperson and called for an ED investigation into the scandal. He asserted that regardless of one’s position, if the party calls, it must be heeded, and that’s why, despite being a Chief Minister, he participated in the protest as a party worker.
Revanth Reddy expressed that the BJP has become a threat to the nation and urged every Congress worker to take responsibility for removing this threat. He questioned why BRS leaders are not challenging the BJP on the corruption issue, asking if they have merged with or been tainted by the BJP. He questioned why KCR isn’t confronting the BJP and why KTR is silent on this looting. He pointed out that BRS’s silence on the matter indicates their support for the BJP, which is looting the nation’s wealth.
