Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made a significant statement, confirming that there will be no expansion of the state cabinet for the time being. Speaking to the media in Delhi today, he clarified that any reshuffling or appointments within the cabinet will be decided by the party high command. The Chief Minister also addressed the legal cases involving opposition leaders, affirming that the government will proceed in accordance with the law.

Revanth Reddy emphasized his commitment to finding permanent solutions to ongoing issues, stating that the caste enumeration was carried out meticulously and not in a haphazard manner. He also announced that the formation of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) executive committee has been finalized, with an official announcement expected either today or tomorrow.

In regard to his relationship with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Revanth Reddy clarified that he did not request an appointment with him, adding that there is no gap between them and that they share a close rapport.

Following his oath of office on December 7, 2024, Revanth Reddy inducted only 11 members into his cabinet, excluding districts like Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, and Hyderabad. Although he had previously mentioned that a cabinet expansion would be forthcoming, more than a year has passed without its realization. This delay has sparked frustration among certain leaders, including Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who had hoped to secure cabinet positions.

Revanth Reddy’s recent comments in Delhi, indicating that there will be no immediate cabinet expansion, have created a stir. Speculation is growing about how those waiting for cabinet roles will react.

Sources suggest that the party high command is cautious about completing the expansion, fearing that those left out may become disillusioned. Recent developments, including a secret meeting of ten MLAs and complaints raised during a visit to Delhi, have led the high command to reconsider the timing of the expansion, aiming to avoid unnecessary controversies.
