Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asserted that non-violence is the guiding principle of the Congress Party, while the BJP relies on tactics of intimidation to come to power. He further claimed that the BJP aims to impress the public to gain authority, whereas Congress seeks to earn trust through sincerity. Rahul Gandhi also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is apprehensive about U.S. President Donald Trump.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of DCC Presidents’ training classes, organized under the AICC at Anantagiri Hills in Vikarabad district. Addressing party workers, he urged them to maintain simplicity, follow the Gandhian approach, and recognize the authority of DCC presidents within the party. He emphasized that all DCC presidents are part of his team and underscored that the party’s future rests with them.
Following the event, a meeting of the Congress Political Affairs Committee was convened, attended by Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti, K.C. Venugopal, Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, AP PCC Chief Sharmila, and other senior leaders. During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy stated that making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister remains the primary objective of Congress workers and expressed hope that he would lead the nation.
Reddy also highlighted that he has consistently raised public issues without seeking personal gain and recalled that cases had been filed against him in the past for advocating people’s concerns. Rahul Gandhi discussed strategies with party leaders to strengthen grassroots organization and enhance the management of party activities, focusing on building the party’s presence and effectiveness across the state.
