New Delhi: In a high-intensity counterterror operation named Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces launched precision airstrikes targeting terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), in response to the recent attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. As per early intelligence estimates, around 90 terrorists have been eliminated so far.
The airstrikes began at 1:44 AM on Wednesday and focused on nine key terror camps—four located inside Pakistan and five in PoK. The Indian military is reported to have targeted terror hubs within 100 kilometers of the international border, believed to be directly involved in facilitating cross-border terrorism.

In a significant diplomatic endorsement, Israel expressed full support for India’s actions. Reuven Azar, Israel’s Ambassador to India, took to social media to affirm India’s right to strike terrorist infrastructure operating from Pakistani territory. “Those who target innocent civilians have no right to exist,” Azar stated, adding the hashtag #OperationSindoor to his post.
The strike marks a major escalation in India’s counterterror posture and sends a clear message of deterrence following the Pahalgam massacre. Further details from the Ministry of Defence are awaited.
