YSRCP chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has voiced strong criticism against CM Chandrababu Naidu following the Supreme Court’s decision on the Tirumala Laddu controversy. Jagan claimed that the Supreme Court had exposed Chandrababu’s “true nature” by quashing the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe the alleged use of adulterated ghee in the preparation of the famous Tirumala laddus. He pointed out that the court advised against politicizing religious matters, emphasizing that Chandrababu was misleading the public by involving the Tirumala deity in his political agenda.

Jagan further accused Chandrababu of fabricating lies about the use of animal fat in the laddus and criticized him for tarnishing the sanctity of Tirumala. He remarked, “Chandrababu has no shame,” and stated that despite the Supreme Court’s reprimand, the CM showed no signs of remorse. According to Jagan, Chandrababu’s contradictory statements, along with those of the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Executive Officer, only deepened public confusion on the matter.

Diversion Tactics

Jagan also suggested that Chandrababu’s actions were a strategic attempt to divert attention from his unfulfilled election promises. He accused the CM of raising the laddu controversy to avoid accountability and distract from the pressure building up over his incomplete commitments. Jagan urged Chandrababu to focus on delivering the promises made during the election campaign rather than misleading the public with baseless claims. He demanded that Chandrababu seek forgiveness from the devotees and apologize for his actions.

Dismisses Need for SIT

Addressing the investigation itself, Jagan argued that there was no need for an SIT or any further inquiry into the matter. “Why investigate something that never happened?” he questioned, asserting that the controversy was entirely fabricated. Jagan expressed his belief that even if officials presented false reports or engaged in false propaganda, divine justice would prevail, stating, “Lord Venkateswara will not let this go unpunished.”

The Supreme Court’s ruling, according to Jagan, has not only vindicated the YSRCP’s stance but also shed light on Chandrababu’s alleged political manipulations.
