Hyderabad: Munugode Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is reportedly facing disciplinary action from the party following his repeated criticisms of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Sources indicate that the party leadership is preparing to take strict measures, potentially including his expulsion.
Recently, PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud met with CM Revanth Reddy to discuss key issues such as local body elections, BC reservations, and notably, the situation involving Rajagopal Reddy. The party high command and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) have reportedly reviewed reports concerning Rajagopal’s public statements against the CM and deemed the open discussion of internal party matters inappropriate.
The disciplinary committee is said to be considering these factors seriously, aiming to resolve the issue amicably to avoid damage to the party’s image. However, a crackdown on Rajagopal appears imminent, amid speculation that his dissatisfaction stems from being denied a ministerial berth.

Rajagopal’s meeting with Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar during his Hyderabad visit has stirred political speculation. MP Mallu Ravi has also reportedly engaged with Rajagopal, who alleges that he was promised a ministerial position upon joining Congress, which has been blocked by state leaders.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka recently stated that while assurances were given to Rajagopal regarding a ministerial post, it did not materialize during cabinet formation. Rajagopal expressed gratitude to Vikramarka in a tweet.
Additionally, Rajagopal publicly opposed CM Revanth Reddy’s remarks about remaining in office for a decade, asserting that the party leadership solely decides the Chief Minister’s post and criticizing the CM’s tone towards opposition parties.
