Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud made significant remarks regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding Hydra, which has become a sensational topic in Telangana politics. During a media interaction today, Goud warned that if Hydra is halted, Hyderabad could become another Wayanad. He expressed intentions to expand Hydra to additional districts soon and cautioned that no matter who occupies government land illegally, they will not be spared. He urged officials to take action against encroachments made by family members.
Goud also criticized Minister Harish Rao for his contradictory statement regarding resigning if Congress implemented a loan waiver, suggesting that Rao had backed down from his challenge. He dismissed claims made by BRS leaders K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao that Congress was diverting funds meant for the Musi River rejuvenation. He questioned the lack of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Musi beautification, asking how funds could be utilized without it.
He further provoked K.T. Rama Rao by questioning whether he truly studied in the United States or merely purchased a certificate. Goud noted that Minister Konda Surekha spoke out of anger towards K.T. Rama Rao and stated that she retracted her comments made under PCC guidance. He provided a crucial update, indicating that there will soon be appointments for nominated and party positions, and that the Nizamabad region is likely to secure a place in the state cabinet soon.
