Nalgonda: A massive fire broke out at Mahatma Gandhi University in Nalgonda, engulfing nearly 100 acres of vegetation. Fire department personnel reached the scene and are making efforts to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and further details are awaited.
This incident adds to a series of recent fire accidents in the state. Earlier, a fire broke out at the NTTPS coal plant near Kondapalli in NTR district. The blaze erupted near the TP-94A2 belt, reportedly due to negligence by NTTPS officials, resulting in a 40-meter stretch of the conveyor belt being damaged.
In another incident earlier this month, a fire at a godown beneath the newly constructed Amberpet flyover in Hyderabad led to thick smoke covering the area, causing panic among commuters and residents. Firefighters managed to douse the flames, but the stored materials were completely destroyed.
