Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced his commitment to continue drawing inspiration from the legacy of Dheera Vanitha Ilamma. In honor of Ilamma’s contributions, the Chief Minister revealed plans to appoint Ilamma’s granddaughter, Shweta, as a member of the Women’s Commission. Recalling Ilamma’s significant role in advocating for land reforms, CM Reddy noted that her efforts to redistribute land from the Doras to the poor were pivotal. The Chief Minister criticized attempts to undermine these reforms and emphasized that the current government, inspired by Ilamma, is dedicated to protecting the rights of the poor. CM Revanth Reddy made these remarks during a program at Rabindra Bharati, commemorating Ilamma’s 39th death anniversary. He also praised the team led by Dr. Alekhya Punjala for presenting Ilamma’s life story through dance.
