Bharat Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrashekar Rao launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress government, alleging that abusing him and even wishing for his death has become the state government’s approach. He said recent panchayat election results reflected the strength of BRS supporters and showed clear public opposition to the ruling Congress.
Addressing a meeting of the BRS Legislature Party and the State Executive at Telangana Bhavan, KCR said he has not stepped away from politics and will continue to work relentlessly for strengthening the party. He asserted that the grassroots election outcomes had demonstrated the party’s organisational strength despite sustained political targeting.
KCR accused the Revanth Reddy government of deliberately singling him out and making personal attacks a matter of policy. He said the real strength of the BRS would be evident in elections conducted with party symbols. Thanking party workers for their efforts, he claimed that voters had delivered a message to what he described as overconfident Congress legislators.
The former Chief Minister alleged that unlike during the BRS tenure, the current government was functioning with arrogance and prioritising real estate interests. He claimed that property values across the state had fallen significantly under the Congress administration.
KCR further accused the government of creating an artificial urea shortage, stating that during the BRS regime, fertilisers were delivered directly to farmers. He alleged that farmers were being harassed and criticised the Congress government for weakening irrigation infrastructure. Referring to the alleged destruction of check dams, KCR warned that those responsible would be held accountable once the BRS returns to power.
