Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) made key remarks during a meeting with party leaders from Peddapalli district at his Erravalli farmhouse. He asserted that BRS would contest the upcoming elections independently and expressed confidence in securing victory.
KCR claimed that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu would not have come to power in Andhra Pradesh without an alliance. He alleged that Telangana was forcibly merged with Andhra Pradesh, attributing it to the actions of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Despite pressure from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he stated that he never compromised on Telangana’s interests.

పదేళ్లు తెలంగాణలో ఎటువంటి ఇబ్బందులు లేవు
ఇప్పుడు సమస్యల వలయంలో తెలంగాణ చిక్కుకుంది

Criticizing the Congress-led Telangana government, KCR accused it of failing to fulfill its election promises. He highlighted that schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Kalyana Lakshmi, which were not part of the Congress manifesto, were introduced by BRS. He further alleged that certain forces were attempting to exploit Telangana’s resources, stating, “Flies swarm where there is jaggery.”
The former Chief Minister also remarked that Telangana remained stable under BRS rule for a decade but is now facing multiple challenges. Taking a sharp dig at the Congress, he referred to the MLA from Ramagundam as a “good-for-nothing fellow.” KCR’s statements have sparked political debate in the state, drawing reactions from various quarters.
